Joseph N. Perretti, of Myrtle Beach, SC and formerly of Roslyn, PA passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at his residence, surrounded by loved ones. He was 65 years old. Joe, as he was affectionally known to his family and friends, was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 28, 1960 to the late Joseph and Janet (née Gruenbaum) Perretti. He was the husband to Carolane B. (née Cantando) Perretti with whom he is survived by.

Joseph was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a rare sort, easy going, charming, a kid at heart, a friend to many, and loved by all.

He grew up in Philadelphia, married and moved to Roslyn with his wife to raise his family, Felicia and Angela. Here is where he planted roots and worked among friends at Shop n' Bag in Dresher.

When he wasn't working, he enjoyed riding his bike and going bowling. He participated in charity bicycle rides that supported Cancer, Diabetes, and Multiple Sclerosis research and just this past fall, he and best friend Bob with his bowling team, "The Gutter Fingers", won a substantial money prize. His love for bowling and bicycling soon became his daughters' passions. Joe never said no to a party or any opportunity to celebrate the Blues Brothers. Inevitably, at the end of any event, a rendition of "Soul Man" would break out and have everyone on their feet.

When the time was right, he retired from the supermarket and moved to Myrtle Beach where he had always wanted to be and where everyday was paradise. Moving to South Carolina did not stop him from being a Philadelphia sports fan, it actually spurred him on. He spent most Sundays at the local pub with his friends chanting E-A-G-L-E-S or rooting for the Phils. Joe was never one to sit idle, he spent lots of time at the beach or just walking around the neighborhood and always imagined himself working at The House of Blues.

We may be saddened by the loss of our dear Joe, but we shouldn't be. His legacy and joy for life, and never-ending optimism will live on in the hearts of all that knew him and in the lives of his children and grandchildren.

With his wife Carolane, Joe is survived by his daughters: Felicia Perretti (Joseph Kitchen), Angela Perretti (Matthew Price), and his granddaughter: Francesca Kitchen. He is survived also by his brother: Vincent Perretti, Sr. (Tamara Weiss Perretti), and his niece and nephews: Vincent, Jr. (Kelly), Lauren (Tim), Anthony (Taylor) and Nickolas.

Relatives and friends are invited to Joe's Life Celebration on Monday, August 18, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. followed by his funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Craft-Givnish Life Celebration Home, 1801 Old York Rd. Abington, PA 19001. Interment will be held privately.

Knew Joe when he attended Peirce Junior College. He was a "character" who gave 100% to everything he was involved in. I'm sure that enthusiasm will see him thru the pearly gates! RIP, Joe!

My little Brother in SGO, friends from the moment we met at PJC.
I"ll miss you Brother. I was so thrilled when you guys moved to Myrtle Beach. Ill miss our impromptu ping pong matches and bowling nights. We played ping pong every chance we had since the Peirce lunchroom.
