Doris Gillespie Obituary
Doris was the beloved wife to the late Francis T. Gillespie for 66 years before his passing in 2020.
Doris was a devoted wife and mother. She loved her family, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She was always ready to proofread a paper for school or attend a sports event to cheer on her favorite team.
Doris was a graduate of Little Flower High School. She started her career at Saint John Neuman Nursing Home before moving on to Fox Chase Cancer Center.
After her retirement, she became an avid crafter and loved becoming a Line Dancing Instructor.
She is survived by her loving children Kate White (John), Frank Gillespie (Sheila), Connie Meizinger (Michael), Carol Gillespie (Amy), Bobby Gillespie (Lori), Mickey DeCarolis (Michael), and Patsy Black (Ed). She was the beloved Gmom of 11 and Great Gmom of 12.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harriet and Thomas, her brother Thomas Spence, as well as her beloved son Tommy.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet Doris's family on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Siena Church, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham, PA 19044. Her interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
