Elizabeth R. Hatch, of Willow Grove, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. She was 86 years old. Liz, as she was known to her family and friends, was born on March 13, 1939 to the late Erwin and Clara (née Engelmayer) Benzinger. She was the wife to the late Albert L. Hatch, Jr. who passed away in 2016.

Liz and Al were married in 1956 and together, they welcomed two children, Robert (Butch) and Kathleen (Kathy). They later became grandparents to five loving grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Liz loved hosting her family for holiday and birthday dinners at their home in Willow Grove where many memories were made.

Later in life, Liz and Al enjoyed regular camping trips to Sarasota and Myrtle Beach (among many other places) eventually spending their winters snowbirding in Florida. Liz and Al made many lifelong friends on these trips and loved hosting family on their adventures. They regularly took the grandkids on camping adventures to Warwick Woods.

Liz had many passions and liked to be busy. She grew beautiful orchids and could be found rescuing plants in need whenever she came upon them. She and Al served as election day staff at their local polling place for many years. She also volunteered her time helping those in need through a food pantry in her community and she loved planning events at her church.

Above all, Liz loved her family and friends and would do anything for her loved ones.

Liz is survived by her children: Robert E. Hatch (Denise), Kathleen S. Platz (Tom), her daughter in law: Phyllis A. Hatch, her grandchildren: Jennifer O'Donnell (Sean), Kristin Ramsay (Matthew), Matthew Hatch (Rachael), Cara Hall (Blake), Christopher Platz (Angie), and her great grandchildren: Elizabeth O'Donnell, Autumn O'Donnell, Eloise Ramsay, Ben Hall, Gavin Hall, and Fiona Hall.

Relatives and friends are invited to Liz's Life Celebration on Monday, September 29, 2025 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Craft-Givnish Life Celebration Home, 1801 Old York Rd. Abington, PA 19001. Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
