Anna Pizzonia Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, Inc. - New Rochelle on Dec. 30, 2025.
Anna Pizzonia, also known as Nina, was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and best friend who passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, at the age of 83. Surrounded by family, love, and prayers, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Born in Francavilla Angitola, Italy, to Vincenzo and Maria Stella Caruso, Anna grew up alongside her six siblings, rooted in strong family values and cultural traditions. She married the love of her life, Antonio Pizzonia, and their enduring relationship was a true testament to devotion, sacrifice, and love.
In 1972, Anna left Italy with her husband and two daughters, Maria and Giuliana, in pursuit of a better life built on hard work and perseverance. She worked tirelessly in a factory to provide for the family she loved, while also forming lifelong friendships. Her strength and determination were evident in everything she did. Years later, they were blessed with a son, Paolo, who brought countless moments of laughter into their lives.
Outside of work, Anna found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved cooking, baking, traveling, and gardening, but most especially cherished the time spent with her brothers and sisters, creating memories filled with laughter, comfort, and companionship. Her home was a place of warmth, tradition, and togetherness.
As a grandmother to eight grandchildren, Anna's unwavering love for her family only deepened. She embraced this role with pride and tenderness, offering unconditional love that will forever be remembered. In later years, she was blessed with twelve great-grandchildren, to whom she shared that same boundless love.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; her devoted husband, Antonio; her loving sister, Caterina; four brothers-in-law; and two sisters-in-law. She is survived by her siblings, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family, all of whom were blessed to have been loved by her.
Anna's legacy endures through the family values she instilled, the cherished traditions she created, and the countless memories shared around her table. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her loving spirit, generous heart, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. Rest in peace, dear Anna.
In lieu of flowers, to honor Anna's memory, she wished for gardens to bloom with flowers and for pictures of those gardens to be shared with family as a reminder of her love.
