Anna Mae "Nina" Robertson Richmond, 99, of Lake Charles, retired this earthly domain to rejoice in Heaven on December 5, 2025, one month shy of her centennial birthday. Nina was born January 12, 1926, to Ellen Sallier Robertson and Harold Robertson, Sr. in Lake Charles, where she remained her entire life. She met and married Adrien "Ed" Richmond, Jr., and to this union, four children were born.

Nina was a lifetime member of Reeves Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME) Church where she served faithfully on several ministries and committees including the Upper Room choir, Missionary Society, Hospitality Committee, Pastor's Aid Board, EUTHU, and the After School Program. She personally handmade the rope barrier-banners for the church's reserved seating. She started the Kleenex-in-Window Ministry and was also the president of Senior Usher Board.

She retired from Lake Charles Memorial Hospital after working over twenty years as a Labor and Delivery nurse. Following her retirement, she stayed active by working with the Calcasieu Parish School Board as a substitute teacher and by serving the city's youngest citizens through the Lake Charles Parks and Recreation department. She found joy working with autistic children. She also was a member of the Eastern Star Order and the Les Mes dames Orgene Civic Club.

Nina's true passion was catering to her family. This included taking in her grandkids, cooking, entertaining, and simply being wherever and whenever needed. She could always be found supporting her children and grandchildren in whatever school activities they were involved in. She also loved creating art to welcome her great grandchildren into the world.

She was so full of knowledge and loved to share her wisdom. She had such a beautiful and creative mind, often writing historical and educational pieces she called her "Memoirs." She was also an amazing seamstress, creating various clothing and household items. Enjoying life to the fullest, she loved to attend Zydeco dances and Trailrides where she often won trophies for Best Dressed western outfits.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Robertson, Sr. and Ellen Rankin; her husband, Adrien "Ed" Richmond Jr.; her sons, Adrien Richmond III, Geary Richmond, and Andrew K. Richmond, Sr.; sisters, Marjorie Dixie and Louise Orphey; and one brother, Harold Robertson, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memories are a loving daughter, Felicia Richmond, daughter-in-law Deidra Richmond, thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and twelve great-great grandchildren, completing five generations. She also leaves a cousin, Frances Sallier, who was raised as a sister and three godchildren, Frank Leonard Sallier, Theresa Mitchell and Beverly Baxter, and a host of many relatives and friends.

A celebration of Nina's life will be on Saturday, December 20, 2025, starting at 9am at Reeves Temple CME Church. Funeral services will begin at 11:00am followed by burial in Hamilton Memorial Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of King's Funeral Home.

A beautiful life well lived by the most beautiful and sweet spirited lady in my world.

Love you dearly,

Felicia Richmond
