Anna Rose Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by White Funeral Home & Crematory - Cassville on Dec. 8, 2025.
Anna Sue (Roller) Rose, born January 26, 1946, the only child of Carl and Lura Belle (Stockard) Roller, passed into her heavenly home on December 6, 2025, at the age of 79.

Anna Sue graduated from Southwest R-5 in 1963 before relocating to Springfield, Missouri, where she attended Draughn Business College. She went on to hold several secretarial positions prior to returning to Washburn, Missouri. There, she owned and managed the P.Q. Mart for eight years and later served as Washburn City Clerk for five years. After retiring, Anna Sue continued to put her talents to use working many years as a bookkeeper for SOS Homes.

On January 22, 1988, she married the love of her life, Bill Rose. Together they operated a dairy farm for seventeen years, working side by side and building a life filled with dedication and partnership.

Anna Sue loved her grandchildren dearly and took immense joy in being part of their lives. She enjoyed traveling whenever she had the chance, and on most evenings, you could find her happily watching Wheel of Fortune.

She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Bill Rose; her children: Jamey Bland and his wife Julie of Washburn, Missouri; Stephanie Farnum and her husband James of Pineville, Missouri; and Mandy Petree and her husband Jared of Morrison, Oklahoma.

She leaves behind ten grandchildren: Tony Bland and his wife Amanda; Andrea (Bland) Porter and her husband Ben, Ethan Petree and his wife Taylor, Brady Petree, Christine (Farnum) Papas and her husband Adam, Kylee (Farnum) Skaggs and her husband Graham, Preston Farnum, Heather Farnum, Violet Farnum, and Sophia Farnum.

She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren: Alec Papas, Ava Papas, Stevie Jean Petree, Renlynn Hopper-Farnum, Winston Skaggs, August Skaggs, Tynison Harrison, Adyliene Harrison, and Lilly Brewer; her mother-in-law Shirley Rose; and sister-in-laws Virginia Sue Gunnels of Cassville, Missouri, Sharon Kay Vanzandt and her husband Raymond of Exeter, Missouri, and Patricia Rose of Miami, Oklahoma. And several other children who were not hers but knew her as grandma and Nana Sue and she loved them all.

Anna Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lura Belle (Stockard) Roller; her stepmother, Vivian Roller; her father-in-law, Jimmie Rose; and her brother-in-laws, Joe Gunnels and Steven Rose.

Anna Sue will be remembered for her warmth, her work ethic, her devotion to family, and the love she poured into everyone around her.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home and Crematory, with Pastor Ray Holland officiating. Visitation will take place two hours before the service. Interment will follow at Kings Cemetery in Seligman, Missouri.
