Anna Scudder Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, Inc. - Columbus on Feb. 11, 2026.
Anna Scudder, 67, Columbus, passed away peacefully at home on January 4, 2026. Affectionally known as Annie to family and friends, she was born on August 30, 1958, in New York City, to the late Nicholas and Josephine (Scrivano) DiGiovanni. Annie was widowed to Randy William Scudder, who died in 2022. She was reunited thereafter with her childhood sweetheart, Andrew Ippolito, who saw her lovingly through the rest of her life. The heart and anchor of the family, Annie worked as an Licensed Practical Nurse at Columbus Regional Hospital and later at Clifty Creek Elementary School. Coming from a long line of successful business owners, Annie also owned and operated the Yellow Brick Road Antique Store for many years. The store and Annie's hard work had much to do with the successful revitalization of State Street. Annie enjoyed photography, interior design, gardening, and cooking. Annie showered her love on people through her cooking. Italian dishes were her specialty. Everyone was welcome at Annie's home, and she had a gift for making people feel welcome and comfortable. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, humility, and love for family. Survivors include her children, Tonilynn (Herlen) Chacon, Danny (Kylee) Harman, Stephanie Harman, Samantha (Ezekiel) Tyger, and Jay (Carla) DiGiovanni; her loving fiancé, Andrew Ippolito; siblings, Nicholas, Gina, Anthony (Holly), and John DiGiovanni; grandchildren, Giana, Eliezer, Kameron, Makenzie, Hudson, Clover, Colbie, Hayes, Gonzo, Finley, Solé, Flora, Eden, Nico, and Gino; and niece, Nicole Abruzese. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026, 10 a.m. to 12 Noon, at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 12 Noon, with Fr. Chris Wadelton officiating. Burial will be in Garland Brook Cemetery. Visit www.JewellRittman.com to share a favorite memory or to sign the online guest registry.
