Anna Simone Obituary
Daughter of the late Franny (nee DellaVecchia) and Ralph Russo. Beloved wife of the late Carlo J. Simone, Jr. Loving mother of John J. Garagozzo. Dear sister of Ralph Russo (Donna), Rosemarie "Dolly" Russo, Jean Russo Migioia (Nicholas) and Geraldine Russo. Cherished grandmother of Gabrielle Garagozzo Brennan (Jeffrey), Alexander G. Garagozzo, Marina C. Garagozzo and Lilla F. Garagozzo. Also survived by her nieces Kimberly Migioia-Ciaranca (Stephen) and Nicole Viola-Russo (Tabitha) and cousins Michael DellaVecchia, Leonard Pospiech (Lisa), Gary Pospiech, Anthony Pospiech (Denise) and Janice DellaVecchia Prospero (Jerry). Also survived by her dog Jelly Bean.
Anna worked for 42 years at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Philadelphia. She enjoyed going to Ocean City Maryland walking the boardwalk, lounging on the beach getting some sun and cruising on the boat on the Assawoman Bay. She loved going to happy hour anywhere, but the Yacht Club in Ocean Pines and Harpoon Hanna's were her favorites.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 beginning at 11:00AM, at the St. Clare of Assisi Parish - St. Michael's Church, 313 Memorial Avenue, Gibbstown, NJ 08027. Entombment to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
Arrangements under the direction of the COSTANTINO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME, BERLIN NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America at 22 8th Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001 would be appreciated.
