Anna Cynthia Smith, of Pennington entered into God's care December 17, 2025 at her residence.
Anna was retired from New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company as a bookkeeper. She was a huge Philadelphia Phillies fan and enjoyed bowling and playing bridge. In the 1930's as a little girl, Anna was crowned Miss Stacy Trent after winning a Shirley Temple lookalike contest at the elite Stacy Trent Hotel in Trenton. Mrs. Smith's greatest accomplishment was being the proudest mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Predeceased by her parents, Abram B. and Anna Q. (Cliver) Burroughs; her husband, Charles D. Smith Sr.; her daughter and son-in-law, Carol A. and Chris Hanson and sister and brother-in-law, Arlene J. and Frank Servis.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara J. and Chuck Heenan; son and daughter-in-law, Charles "Don" and Mary Smith; seven grandchildren; Pam Heenan, Holly Heenan, Kate Dugan (Jeremey), Michael Smith (Jennifer), Kevin Smith (Brittany), Lisa Greenemeir and Steven Hanson; 11 great grandchildren, Rachel, Logan, Natalee, Charleigh, Brayden, Colton, Charles Liam, Jackson, Matthew, Mitchell and Gavin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00AM Saturday, December 27, 2025 in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 137 W Upper Ferry Rd, Ewing, NJ 08628. Due to the pending inclement weather, the viewing has been canceled. The mass and burial will proceed as planned. Burial will follow in Ewing Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Arthritis Foundation or NJ Commission for the Blind.
