Ann Shelby Conlon, 95, of Hamilton Township, passed away on December 22, 2025 at Azalea at Hamilton. Born in Trenton to the late Terrence Shelby and Mary (Greaney) Shelby, Ann married and moved to Ewing Township, then Pennington and lastly to Azalea at Hamilton Senior Living in Hamilton Township.
Ann graduated from Cathedral High School Class of 1948. She retired from the Ewing Township Board of Education in 1987 where she worked for many years. She enjoyed acting in high school plays, traveling with her husband, going to the beach and pool, listening to music and sing-alongs. Ann loved being with family and friends; she always had a smile and was kind and caring to all she met. She loved life. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Peter A. Conlon; her son-in-law Frank Maske; her brother and his wife, Terrence and Margaret Shelby; in-laws James and Sally Heitzman Conlon, and Sally West Conlon.
Surviving are her daughter Patrician (Conlon) Maske; neices: Maryanne Ralls, Jane Conlon, Liza Davidson, all from Metuchen, and Ellen (John) Heckle of Forked River. Nephews: Frank (Janis) Conlon of Flemington, William (Cyndi) Shelby of Tuckerton, and Michael Shelby, many grandnieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Visitation will be Monday, January 5, 2026 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Avenue, Hamilton Township, NJ 08619. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 AM at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ 08610.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Azalea at Hamilton, especially the Valeo unit, for their exceptional kindness, support, and compassionate care for Ann during her time there. We also want to thank the dedicated and compassionate team at Serenity Hospice for their support, guidance and compassion. I graduated with Anne from Cathedral High School class of 1948. She was a friend in four years of CHS and we attended many of our alumni luncheons and our Class Reunions. Anne was a delight to know and I send my condolences to her large extended family. May she rest in peace in Paradise. Sally Gallagher Peters

Anne was a neighbor at Four Seasons Community. She was a happy person who always gave a smiley "hello" . She said Goodbye to us 5 years ago and I have missed her smile and "Hello" since . May she rest in peace!
