Cheryl Nawoj Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Murphy Funeral Home - Hamilton Township on Dec. 16, 2025.
Cheryl Jane Nawoj, 75, of Langhorne, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at St. Mary Medical Center.
Cheryl is survived by her three children: Stacy Klingkammer and her husband, Charles; Brian Klingele and his wife, Janice; and Jason Klingele and his wife, Jenn Gotthelf. She is also survived by her former husband and the father of her children, Michael Klingele; her brother, Gary Navoy; her sister, Rebecca Dalton; her nieces, Michelle Rivera and Carrie Ann Navoy Love; her nephews, Shane Navoy, Jackson Dalton, and Jacob Dalton; and her many grandchildren, Charlie, Joshua, Nathan, Elijah, Amanda, Brooke, Dennis, and Joe. She is further survived by her best friends, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mary Lou Nawoj, and her granddaughter, Kelly O'Brien.
Cheryl was born in Washington, Pennsylvania, and later moved to Trenton, New Jersey, where she graduated from Trenton Central High School. After raising her children, she returned to school and earned both a bachelor's and a master's degree in social work. She went on to become a Licensed Certified Social Worker, working with troubled adolescents and adults before retiring.
Known for her intellect, Cheryl was a prolific reader throughout most of her life and was a member of Mensa. She enjoyed a good debate, but above all, she cherished time spent with friends and family. For many years, she vacationed with friends in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City. She loved playing cards-especially Spades-as well as games such as backgammon, Scrabble, and Words with Friends. In her later years, she became an avid NFL football fan. Her combination of intelligence, compassion, and empathy made her an outstanding sounding board when seeking advice.
Cheryl's life was defined by curiosity, kindness, and connection, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Above all, her greatest legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and the countless memories they will forever cherish.
Visitation services will be held on Sunday, December 21, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 12:00 p.m., at Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Avenue, Hamilton Township, NJ 08619.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society www.nationalmssociety.org

Earlier today

I lived with my aunt and uncle, Cheryl´s mom and dad, for 5 years while going to school at Rider College. I believe Cheryl was only there for about 2 years, but during that time she made such an impression on me. She was a free spirited person which got he in trouble at times. She always let you know her opinion. She was the most like her father which put her in conflict with him. We kept in touch all these years and I visited with her many times. I am deeply saddened by her passing but will keep remembering all the great times and visits we had. I loved her and will be praying for her family.
