Anna Virag Obituary
Anna, born 12 Jan 1930 in Erd Hungary endured German occupation during WWII followed by a brutal Russian invasion. She escaped communist oppression during the Hungarian Revolution and as a refugee she came to the great USA in 1957 where she went onward to create her America Dream.
She lived near New Brunswick NJ for 50 years before moving to South Coventry Township, PA to be near her family. Her zest for swimming made her a frequent sight at the Phoenixville Area YMCA and she was always proud of the miles she swam. She also enjoyed traveling and was able to visit five continents to appreciate all the world's beauty and enjoying life's moments, always with a smile. That endearing smile touched so many people and made her countless friends worldwide. We'd be remiss not to mention her wonderful Hungarian cooking and pastries, always a hit. When asked for recipes it was always a bit of this and a little of that, and just add more till it feels right.
Anna is survived by her son, Peter Virag and her daughter Ani Novak (Budapest, Hungary), and her three grandchildren; Katalin Novak (Zurich, Switzerland) and Kristin and Alex Virag and two great grandchildren (Csongor and Oliver) She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Virag and her parents and siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Monday, 18 Sept 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Thomas More Church, 2101 Pottstown Pike, Pottstown, PA. Officiating will be Fr. John Gibbons. Interment will be held privately in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Somerset, NJ. Friends will be received from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the Church.
Arrangements are being handled by the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered online at www.RoyersfordFuneralHome.com.

Anna and I were on Austrian Switzerland Tour in 1995, we carried on our friendship 26yrs until she went into the Home, she came to Australia in 2002 we had a lovely visit. Peter brought her to see me in New York in 2014, with some of her home made buscuits. We spoke on the phone often, she was a beautiful person loved her dearly, she will be sadly missed by many. My Sympathy to all her Family
