Anna Wheeler

Anna “Annie” Wheeler passed away peacefully May 9th 2025. Annie was born October 1st 1949, the daughter of the late Virgil Shook and Olive (Dietter) Shook.

She worked in the cafeteria of the Pine Plains Central School District for 34 years. She also worked at the Pine Plains Deli for many years. Over the past year she worked a couple of hours here and there at the Moose on the Loose Deli in Pine Plains to keep herself busy.

She enjoyed vacationing in Maine with her loving husband of 57 years Charlie who survives at home. They also travelled to Alaska together, which she loved and could not stop talking about. She loved to bake, sew, cross stitch, read, garden and do puzzles. She will be missed by all that knew her.

In addition to her husband Charles “Charlie” Wheeler she is also survived by her son Keith (his partner Donna) of Hillsdale NY and daughter Lorraine Hait (her husband Larry) of Pine Plains NY. Three granddaughters Corey Hoffman, Samantha Wheeler and Paige Wheeler. Her sisters Susie Artuz (Ed) and Gail Dinsmore (David) and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A time for sharing memories and offering condolences will be from 2:00 to 4:00pm on May 24, 2025 at Peck & Peck Funeral Homes, 7749 South Main Street, Pine Plains NY.
