Anna King Winebarger

Born: June 10, 1935 | Died: July 29, 2025

Anna King Winebarger, age 90, passed away peacefully at Foothills Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center, on July 29, 2025. Though born in Charlottesville, Va., she lived in Charlotte, N.C., for many years before moving to East Tennessee.

Anna is preceded in death by her father, Oscar R. King Sr., mother, Nina M. West King, brothers, Oscar R. King Jr., and Richard A. King, and sister Doris J. King Gribble all of Charlotte. Anna is also preceded in death by her spouse Willie L. Winebarger Sr., sons, Willie L. Winebarger Jr., John E. Winebarger, and Stephen E. Winebarger of Tennessee.

Anna is survived by her brother Robert W. King (Julie) of Kingston, N.C., sister Gladys E. Williams of Alcoa, Tn., sister-in-law Shirley Winebarger of Knoxville, Tn., nephew Samuel D. Williams (Shelbia) and their sons Drake and Cameron Nutter of Alcoa, Tn, two granddaughters Stephanie and Sara Winebarger., and niece Kathy King Walker (James) of Maryville, Tn.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Foothills Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center and to great nurses and support staff at Gentiva Hospice.

Anna's wishes were to be cremated and McCammon- Ammons-Click will be facilitating those arrangements. Anna will be laid to rest next to her late husband in Charlotte, N. C. www.mccammonammonsclick.com
