Anna Lottie (Oglesby) Winkler, 98, of Emlenton, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.

Anna was born in Big Bend, Scrubgrass Township on December 25, 1926. Anna would have celebrated her 99th birthday on Christmas Day. She was the daughter of the late Samuel P. and Arena Mae Lawrence Oglesby. She was a 1945 graduate of Emlenton High School.

Anna was married at the West Home Free Methodist Church in Emlenton on June 21, 1945 to Herman Ellsworth Winkler. Mr. Winkler passed away on August 21, 2012 following 67 years of marriage. She and her husband were long-time members of the former West Home Free Methodist Church and later attended Old Zion United Methodist Church in Emlenton. Anna was a devoted homemaker and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a lady of many talents and interests. Anna enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking and baking, canning, and making quilts. She belonged to a number of quilting groups. She and her husband enjoyed travelling throughout the United States, Alaska, and Canada.

Anna is survived by four daughters: Donna Fulmer of Shippenville, Caryl Holden of Franklin, Patty Hepler and her husband, Wayne, of Cranberry and Joyce Curran and her husband, Mike, of Nickleville. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, 86 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by seven siblings: George Oglesby, Mary Jane Winkler, Hazel Weaver, Lawrence Oglesby, Ellen Hornburg, Donald Oglesby, and Ruby Payne.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton from 1-3pm and 6-8pm on Friday, December 12 and on Saturday, December 13 from 11am – noon. A funeral service will follow from the funeral home at noon with Pastor Larry Aldrich of Van New Life Community Chapel, officiating. Interment will be in Big Bend Cemetery, Scrubgrass Township, Venango County. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Winkler's name may be made to Big Bend Cemetery Association, 1081 Big Bend Rd., Emlenton, PA 16373. To send a condolence, please visit www.hilefh.com.
