Anna Yost Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sproles Family Funeral Home - New Castle on Mar. 3, 2026.
Anna Beth (Wilson) Yost, 94, passed away on March 2, 2026.

Born on November 9, 1931, in Glendale, California, Beth was the daughter of the late A. Delmar Wilson and Lucyle (Thornburgh) Wilson. She graduated from Mt. Summit High School in 1949 and went on to attend Elkhart Business University, where she trained as a dental hygienist.

Beth was a collector of both dolls and pets! Gifted with a beautiful alto voice, Beth sang in a ladies quartet at Bethany Church in Littleton, Colorado.

Anna Beth's life journey took her from California to Indiana, then to Colorado, and eventually back home to Indiana. In 1984, she married Dale Yost. Together they made their home on Dale's family farm in Springport, a place Beth deeply cherished. Living there allowed her to be closer to her beloved brothers, Garry and Richard, and to soak up the quiet beauty of country life. She also enjoyed her many neighbors of racoons, skunks, deer, and endless stray kittens. They always knew Beth provided a warm home, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Anna Beth attended Springport Christian Church, and loved listening to christian music and reading scripture. Beth spent the last 13 years at Fall Creek Retirement Village in Pendleton where she enjoyed serving on the residents council, playing Bingo, and visiting with friends in the dining room.

Anna Beth is survived by her children, Brett (Anne Marie) Everhart, Ronda (Jim) Etherington; brothers, Garry (Dimples) Wilson, Richard Wilson; grandchildren, Tyler (Maegan) Etherington, Carly (Bobby) Ryan; great granddaughters, Lucy Oliphant, Parker Ryan, Reese Ryan and Charlotte Etherington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale Yost; and her sister-in-law, Rosalind Wilson.

Beth had a warm wonderful spirit and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Private services will be held at Sproles Family Funeral Home.
