Annabel Walter Obituary
Mrs. Walter was born March 12, 1939 in Shenandoah County, daughter of the late Melvin and Fleta Grandstaff Walter. She formerly worked for the US Forest Service and was Director of the Fort Valley Senior Center. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, the Friends and Neighbors Club, and the "Gems" in Fort Valley.
Annabel is survived by four daughters, Desma Morris of Quicksburg, Joyce Fadeley of Fort Valley, Cheryl Fadeley Wolford (Dan) of Edinburg and Donna Collett (Jay) of Edinburg; sisters, Celia Burke (Larry) of Fort Valley and Iris Nelson ( Bruce) of Arlington; eight grandchildren, Amanda Helsley (Nathan), Jacob Morris, Sean McKelvey, Keegan Wolford, Korey Wolford, Misty Ferguson (Brian), Bobbie Lynn McLaughlin (Lee) and Morgan Tae Collett (Leah) and five great grandchildren, Grayson Ford-Morris, Jordan Ferguson, Sidney Ferguson, Zoe McLaughlin and Kendall McLaughlin.
She was preceded in death by her son, Cary Fadeley; friend, Larry Nicholson; and her children's father, Richard Fadeley; sister, Hilda Tamkin and brother, Ray Walter.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Helsley, Sean McKelvey, Jake Morris, Keegan Wolford, Korey Wolford, and Kent Tamkin.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Ste. 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
