Joyce Irene Walter

Joyce Irene Walter 84 went home to her creator on March 9, 2026 peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Joyce has resided in Cream Ridge since 2002 and was a resident of Hamilton prior to that.

A graduate of Cathedral High School, Trenton in 1959. She was employed by New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency before her retirement in 2001.

She was past president of St. Raphael PTA and held several offices in St. Raphael Rosary Altar Society.

She was a Eucharistic Minister, Lector and a member of the Rosary Altar Society of St. Isadore the Farmer Parish in New Egypt. She was a member of the German American Society in Yardville.

She enjoyed reading, bowling, dancing, scrabble and card games and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan.

She prayed the Rosary daily.

She was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Irene Oros Bertothy. Her daughter Donna Walter, her son Edward Walter and her brother Robert Bertothy.

She is survived by he husband of 64 years, Paul Walter.

Son and daughter in law, John and Cindy Walter of Cream Ridge.

Sister and brother in law, Joan and Ronald Mayer of Bordentown and Manahawkin.

Brother in law, Peter Walter of Denver, Colorado.

Sister in law, Barbara Dupp and several nieces, Nephews and cousins.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday March 16th at 10:00am at St. Isadore the Farmer Parish, 28 Monmouth Road, Wrightstown, NJ.

Interment will be in the BGWCD Veteran Cemetery, Wrightstown.

Relatives and friends may call Sunday 2:00-5:00pm at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, 2946 South Broad St. Hamilton.
