Anne Marie Boone, lovingly known as Marie, departed this life on March 3, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio, surrounded by the unwavering love of her family. Born on September 11, 1956, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was a shining beacon of strength and laughter, a true testament to the power of a loving heart.
In her remarkable career, Marie dedicated 42 years of service as a Stock Room Clerk at the University of Dayton, where her wit and humor brought joy to the workplace. Known for commanding a room with her engaging personality, she forged lasting friendships with colleagues who admired her non-judgmental nature and the endless love she carried within her.
Family was paramount in Marie's life, and she adored every moment spent with her loved ones, especially her cherished grandchildren: Isaac, Elise, Ella, Elliott, Emilia, and Layna. With each stitch she sewed and every game she cheered for her beloved Philadelphia Eagles, she created and celebrated memories that will forever resonate within the hearts of those she left behind. Marie shared a strong bond with her husband, Rod Boone, and was the proud mother of Leon (Natalie) Smith, along with step-sons Jake Boone and Jason (Lauren) Boone. She also left behind her beloved sister, Margaret (Tom) Coyne; as well as nieces and nephews, Maggie, Stacey, Tommy and Joey. Her family will carry forward the collective memories of laughter and love.
Marie is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Margaret Smith, who laid the foundation for the remarkable woman she became. As we reflect on the extraordinary life of Anne Marie Boone, let us find solace in the laughter that she shared and the heartfelt moments she gifted to those around her. Her legacy of love and joy will continue to echo through the lives she touched, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-6:00pm, on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where a Memorial Service will begin at 6:00pm.
