Anne Frisone Obituary

Anne Marie "Skip" (McCarthy) Frisone

Rockport, MA - Anne Marie "Skip" (McCarthy) Frisone, 96, of 14 Smith Road, Rockport, MA, left us peacefully on June 9, 2021. As an avid reader throughout her life, an independent business woman and a well-loved friend to anyone who met her she was able to create wonderful memories from a life filled with adventure, humor and love. As the family matriarch and extraordinary mother of three sons, she died peacefully at her Rockport home with family members by her side. She was devoted to her family, Michael and Laurie Frisone of Pompano Beach, Florida, Nicholas and Lisa Frisone of Chicago, Illinois and John Frisone and Mark Jurewicz of Rockport, MA. She also is survived by her loving and dedicated sister Joan Paquet who was married to the love of her life Robert Paquet (deceased) of Poughkeepsie, NY. She was the loving sister of John J. "Skip" McCarthy Jr. of Hyde Park, NY who predeceased her and she was previously married to Dominic Frisone of Poughkeepsie, NY who also predeceased her. Additionally, she was a loving grandmother to several grandchildren and great grandchildren and also leaves behind many beloved nephews and nieces.

Anne Marie was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on October 15, 1924 and graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in 1941. She was a member of the Dramatic Club there and was known for her intense sense of humor. Anne Marie loved to dance and was a world class swimmer. During the war years, she become an employee of the New York Telephone Company where she held several positions throughout her career until her retirement. She was a member of the Telephone Company Pioneers Club and dedicated her talents to serving the community at large. She developed close friendships and loved to travel. Her favorite vacations were held at Hampton Beach, NH which were always spent with her family, particularly her loving father John "Skip" McCarthy Sr. and her loving mother Laura (Callanan) McCarthy.

She had the time of her life searching for the "finds" of a lifetime by going to as many garage sales and flea markets whenever possible. She also delighted in taking her children to the drive-in theater regularly. Her number one vocation in life was to create a loving, fun and safe atmosphere of opportunity for her children. Her entire life was dedicated to her sons Michael, Nicholas and John to ensure that they were well taken care of. Her talents of multitasking allowed her to enjoy a successful business career while care taking all of her children. She will be sorely missed but, definitely not forgotten, having "touched" so many people during her journey.

Anne Marie was a member of Saint Peters and Holy Trinity Parishes in Poughkeepsie, NY and Saint Joachim's of Rockport, MA.

There will be a memorial service held in the near future in Poughkeepsie, NY where she will be buried in St. Peter's Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St. Gloucester, MA 01930. Online condolences may be given at: www.greelyfuneralhome.com
