Anne Gibeault

Anne Gibeault, age 93, of Jewett City, passed into eternal peace on November 5, 2025, after a long-term health battle at the Colonial Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Plainfield, CT. She was born on January 31, 1932, in Jewett City, CT. She is the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary O'Brien (Williams). She was predeceased by her loving husband, Hector. They were married on September 30, 1950, at St. Mary Church in Jewett City. She was the matriarch of the family, the mother of ten children, a grandmother of twenty-seven, and a great-grandmother of thirty-six. She was employed at Glass Containers in Dayville, CT, for over 5 years. She also worked at the Griswold Town and the Griswold Elementary School as a nurse's aide for several years before retiring. She was an avid UCONN Women's basketball fan. She loved reading, knitting, and crocheting. She and Hector traveled to many wonderful places together.

She is survived by seven sons, Louis (Joyce - deceased) of Griswold, William (Linda) of Saratoga Springs, NY, Lawrence (Michelle) of Alexandria, VA, Richard (Cathy) of Lynchburg, VA, Thomas (Sharon)of Groton, Ronald (Kathie)of Griswold, CT, and Steven (Lisle)of Sacramento, CA; three daughters, Patricia (Jim) Zils of Griswold, CT, Margaret (Kurt) Voland of Mystic, CT, and Kathleen (Jody) Grenier of Voluntown, CT.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11:00 am, in St. Mary Church, Jewett City. Burial will follow in Pachaug Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Colonial Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Plainfield, CT.
