Anne Denson Meliori

Anne Marie Denson Meliori, 96, of Downingtown, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Arbor Terrace of Exton.

Born on March 13, 1929 in Narberth, PA; she was the beloved wife of the late Louis S. Meliori, with whom she shared 68 years in marriage, marrying on September 20, 1947.

She was the daughter of the late Clara G. Denson and William F. Denson, sister of the late Frances L. Denson. She was predeceased by her twin brother, William F. Denson, Jr., by her granddaughter, Tara Lynne Waltz and by her great granddaughter, Lynne Marie Bender.

She is survived by three daughters, Joyce A. Cionci and her husband, Robert of Denver, PA, Gwen D. Fitzpatrick and her husband John of Selbyville, DE, Susan I. Meliori of Downingtown, PA and by her son, Todd Meliori and wife Jeannie of Gulf Breeze, FL. Also surviving is her beloved dog, Jax, who resides in Downingtown, PA.

She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association and former Girl Scout leader and den mother. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ardmore, Pa for over 50 years. Anne belonged to the Military order of the Purple Heart, Auxiliary of FOP #28.

Anne worked for the Bell Telephone Company in Ardmore and Lansdowne, PA, and Strawbridge & Clothier in Ardmore. She then was a jeweler for several years on the main line and Chester County Jewelers.

Her interests were her home, knitting and embroidery and her Scottie dogs. She enjoyed spending summers on the Chesapeake Bay.
