Patrick Dale Garvey, 62, of Manheim, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Phoenix Center in Phoenixville, PA.

Born on Ft. Bliss Army Base in El Paso, Texas on May 4, 1963, Dale was the son of the late Richard Edward Garvey, Sr. and Margaret Catherine (Deeck) Garvey. Dale was a graduate of the class of 1981 at Coatesville Area Senior High School. Dale enjoyed studying history and languages. He learned to speak 2 languages in HS and was a part of the AFJROTC. This was the beginning of him becoming a history and military buff; he thoroughly enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. Dale joined the Army National Guard after high school. Dale worked as an Avionics Technician at McGuire Air Force Base for many years before taking his knowledge of electronics to work in the private sector on helicopter, satellite, camera and sonar equipment. He also enjoyed computer games and electronics of all kinds. As the youngest of 11, he always enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews and never outgrew the "kids table" at family gatherings. As Dale got older, he spent many years researching family and genealogy and was very proud of his Irish heritage and becoming the family historian.

Dale is survived by his siblings Richard Garvey, Jr. (Dolores), James Garvey, Margaret Joann Garvey, Charles Garvey (Maria), Kathryn Wall, Kenneth Garvey, Flora O'Bannon and Bernadette Wolfe, sister-in-law Emy Garvey (John); and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers John Garvey and Joseph Garvey, brother-in-law Gareth O'Bannon and sister-in-law Deborah Garvey (James).

A funeral liturgy will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 12 PM at James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. Viewing will be held from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will be private.
