Anne L. Niehuss, 96, of Taylorsville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, in Scottsburg, Indiana.
She was born on May 27, 1929, in Stuttgart, Germany, the daughter of Josef and Freda Czerwenka.
Anne lived a life rooted in faith, service, and love for others. She was a devoted volunteer for more than 20 years with the Grandma Program in California, where she worked closely with kindergarten and first-grade students, leaving a lasting impact on countless young lives. Her gentle spirit and patience made her a treasured presence to both children and educators.
A woman of strong faith, Anne attended the Pentecostal church and found great purpose in helping those in need. She especially enjoyed assisting the homeless and giving of herself whenever possible. Above all else, Anne cherished time spent with her family, which brought her great joy. Anne is survived by her loving daughter, Nancy Watkins of Taylorsville, KY. Along with many grandchildren, great and great - great grandchildren. Cremation was chosen and entrusted with Collins Funeral Home.
