Collins Funeral Home - ScottsburgHelen Louise Wright, 84, of Commiskey, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born on February 23, 1942, in Junction City, Kentucky, the daughter of Luther and Bessie Lunsford.
Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who dedicated her life to caring for her family. A wonderful caregiver and homemaker, she created a warm and loving home where family always came first. Her kindness, strength, and gentle spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.
She was a faithful member of Coffee Creek Baptist Church in Paris Crossing, Indiana. Helen was also an avid University of Kentucky fan and loved cheering on the Wildcats. In her spare time, she enjoyed visiting the casino boat and spending time with her family.In addition to her parents, Helen was prededed in death a son, David Wright; and four siblings. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, William "Bill" Wright Sr.; daughter, Pamela McIntosh(Herbert); sons, Bill Wright Jr.(Carla), Daniel Wright; along with eight grandchildren, Amber McIntosh White(Dan), Levi McIntosh(Heather), Luchin, Darbi, Gunnar, Jacob, Bailey, Marla; great grandchildren; Jaden, Waylon, Emily, Remington, Bill, Kaden. There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from 4-7pm at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Graveside service will be on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 12pm with Pastor Keith Smith officiating at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Ky 40216
