Mrs. Anne Elizabeth Pinder, 64, of Franklin, NC passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025 at home.

She was born to James Andre Downey and Rita Shirley O'Brien Downey in New York, NY on March 13, 1961. Annie was lovingly adopted by Herbert and Anne Anderson in NY, all relocating to Boca Raton, FL All are deceased.

Annie was preceded in death by her brothers Dennis Downey in 198_ and Kevin Downey in 2025, both of New York, NY.

With her first husband George Remsen, Annie had a baby, never born, that she grieved her whole life. They are now reunited.

Annie loved greatly, also marrying Bernie Tillson, then Brian Williams before Greg Pinder.

Survived by her husband, Greg Pinder, of Franklin, NC, son-in-law Richard Pinder of New Orleans, LA, her brother Robert J (Bobby, she called her brother) Downey and his wife Kitty of Texas, Dayshaun Duncan who Annie raised and considered her son, his wife Stacie Duncan, granddaughters Rylee and Harper Duncan. nieces Shannon Downey of New York, Crystal Floyd, husband Kenya, of New York, nephews Robert Downey Jr and wife Jo Anne, of Texas, Randall Downey of SLO, California, LeShawn Downey, and many other great and great great nephews and nieces.

Annie loved to cook and laugh, preferably with a house full of relatives and friends. She loved her pets whether dogs or birds. Annie's creativity was displayed while working for a florist. As a caregiver later in life, Annie would cook and laugh as she cared for others.

Once Annie and Greg moved to North Carolina, she fell in love with the mountains, the many birds and wildlife.
