Anne Skye Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rasberry Family Funeral Home - Houston on Oct. 8, 2025.

Anne Skye 97, a beloved wife, sister, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on 9/10/2025. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Jack Skye, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership.
To her family, she was simply "Gran Gran"-a title that spoke not only to her years but to her boundless warmth, her patient wisdom, and the way she gathered generations together with open arms. Her home was always a place of comfort, laughter, and unconditional love.
Her language of love was food. Everyone's memory of Anne is accompanied by a special dish she shared with them. From cornbread & cabbage to bisquits & red eye gravy to crawfish ettouffe, her menu was limitless. She spoiled her family as a gourmet chef, paying oh so much detail to flavor, presentation, timing and temperature. Her tradition of chilled salad plates and glasses continues today, much to the chagrin of her daughters-in-law.
Food aside, Anne's real talent lay in her ability to lift every person lucky enough to cross her path. Few escaped her love or avoided her gentle touch. She knew no strangers. From the beggars to the most affluent, she had a gift for seeing only the good in others. Her gentle spirit and kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She lifted others, listened without judgment, and carried herself with grace and quiet strength.
She had but one, minor fault. She rarely shared her chocolate cream pie.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and countless others who felt her kindness. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the lives of all she so eloquently touched.
A celebration of her life will be held on at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 1603 Norwalk, Katy, TX 77450. The viewing is from 9:30 to 10:30, followed by the service at 11:00. Family and friends are invited to gather, hear memories, and honor the remarkable woman she was.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that acts of kindness be shared in her memory,
continuing her legacy of love.
