ANNE B. SUPPER

1939 - 2024

SUPPER, Anne B. (Briner) Age 85, of Hingham, MA, died peacefully on September 18, with her loving husband by her side, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Born on March 20, 1939 in Philadelphia, Anne was the first child of Richard Robert Briner and Dorothy Shearer Briner. Her father was a captain in the U.S. Navy and Anne and her younger brother, Dick, grew up on naval aviation bases across the U.S. and in the Philippines. She attended William Tennent High School in Bucks County, PA and graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA in 1961. At Dickinson, she met the love of her life, Lee Supper and they married in the weeks following her graduation. Anne and Lee were happily married for 64 years and raised their daughters, Nancy and Caty in Sherborn, MA. They retired to Chatham, MA and most recently lived in Hingham. Anne is survived by her husband, Lee; daughters, Nancy Fitts (Cubby) and Caty Fortuin (Matt); and five grandchildren, Charlie, Susie, Abby, Ellie and Hannah; sister-in-law, Carol M. Briner; and nephews, Rich Briner (Annette) and John Briner (Bryn). She was predeceased by her brother, Dick; and daughter, Karen Elizabeth. A Funeral Service will take place Wednesday, October 16, 11am, at the Hingham Congregational Church, 378 Main Street, Hingham, MA. The Service will be followed by a reception, at The Quarry, 415 Whiting Street, Hingham. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association.
