Anne M. Vimislik

Anne M. Vimislik of Binghamton NY was called home by the Lord on August 20th, 2022, after a long battle with Lung Cancer. Anne was predeceased by her mother, Theresa. Anne is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Jim Vimislik, her daughters Julie O Brien and Lyn Ames, her Son Patrick Vimislik (Cathy), her greatest joys in life- her Grandchildren, Eric O Brien (Jonna), Danielle O Brien, Kristy Ames, Brianna O Brien (David Sabol) Natalie Vimislik, two great grandchildren Gia Rose O Brien, Baby Sabol, the Vimislik family, including many nieces and nephews, and many close friends, especially her Bestie Cheryl. Anne was a parishioner of The Parish of Saint John and Andrew Catholic church. Anne worked at UHS Hospital for many years, where she later retired. Anne was an avid bowler, bowling in many classic leagues in the area. She was a member of the local 600 & 700 bowling club, the national 600 club, and the state 600 & 700 club. Anne was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Local 1013, and a devoted volunteer at the Endicott Elks Lodge BPOE #1977. Anne's Family will miss her witty carefree personality, her contagious smile and laugh, her famous baked ziti and potato salad, and her delicious homemade apple pies (yummo!). Her family will miss the love she gave them, and making memories with her most of all. We Love you Grandma, and don t forget God bless the cooks! . Anne's family would like to express gratitude to Anne s doctors, and the staff at Mercy house for the care that they provided her. There will be no calling hours upon Anne s request. A funeral mass for Anne will be held on Thursday, August 25th, 2022 at 11am at Saint John and Andrew Catholic Church, with a celebration of life lunch in to follow at the Moose Club. In lieu of flowers, Anne and family request that all donations be made to The American Cancer Society, HealthWell Foundation, Mercy House of the Southern Tier, or the Broome County Humane Society.
