Anne Maarit Weber was born March 24th, 1968, to Matti Kalervo Syrja and Sirkka Annikki (Pieniniemi) Syrja in Canada. Her parents arrived from Finland when her sister, Mervi, was a young child, making Anne a first generation Canadian Finn. She was married to John Aaron Weber in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on December 22nd, 1990: 35 years, 8 months, 24 days.

She is now running, jumping, and dancing on the streets of gold after a long battle of about 15 years including degenerative disc disease and the pain that goes with it. On Monday, September 15, 2025, she simply wanted to sleep. She fell asleep and did not re-awaken here. She awoke in the arms of Jesus without pain.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Matti Syrja and Sirkka (Pieniniemi) Syrja (Canada).

She is survived by John Aaron Weber (husband) and Mary Odessa Schultz Syrja (stepmother). Family around the world.

About Anne:

Church Family Life:

Anne's first priority and love was to make sure people would be introduced to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She wanted to convey the single most important thing in life was to answer the following question:

"Does God know my name?" So, she would be saying right now to you: "Does God know your name?" Nothing else mattered. Jesus Christ loves you and he died on the cross and rose again to give you eternal life and be saved from eternity in hell where there is no quenching of sorrow, pain, fire, thirst, isolation. It is by the shed blood of Jesus that He gave His life for you so you would not be in eternal damnation in hell.

She invested herself heavily into church family life wherever she went. She was a Pastor's helper. Anne enjoyed making people smile with her larger-than-life enthusiasm, empathy and care for others more than herself (sometimes to the sacrificing of benefit for herself). Her involvement in church life cast a wide net of influence. Whether it was lay leadership helping pastors, staff and church members or visitors, the whole gamut of theatre productions, leading kids' choirs, Bible studies, prayer groups, befriending those less fortunate, or just being a listening ear, her enthusiasm for life was contagious.

Community Theatre:

All of this activity and influence stood her in good stead for involving herself in community theatre. Anne would be involved in a large number of roles including casting, costuming, acting, producing, writing, set design, choreography, technical direction, brochures, Playbills, programs, advertising, t-shirts, merchandise, and so much more.

Digital Graphic Artist:

Anne was well known for her free-lance digital graphic artist work; she was well sought after to produce and design anything to do with digital graphic arts such as custom designed t-shirts, apparel, merchandise, programs, playlist, video and PowerPoint presentations, advertising, posters, etc.

Special Gratitude:

She was especially grateful for Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, MN for all the help they gave in dealing with her health issues. They gave her a new lease on life and actually believed her allowing the last few years to be more hopeful.

Memorial service to be determined and announced later.
