Annemarie Tubbs Obituary

Annemarie Tubbs, age 70, born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on November 20, 2023.  She was born on April 27, 1953 to William Bernard Shaw and Cathrine McWilliams Shaw. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Catherine Shaw, her sister Shelia (Dan) Anderson, brother Bill (Dutch ) Shaw, and Brian Shaw. 

She is survived by her loving family. Children, Ashley (Byron) Page, Lindsey Tubbs, and Patrick Tubbs.  Her ex-husband Mike Tubbs. Her six granddaughters, Kendall (Brant) Lawless, Abigail Page, Hanna Henderson, Aubrey Page, AJ Page, and Mickie Tubbs. Sisters Colleen (John Papp), Muriel Shaw, and Kathleen Shaw. Nieces Amy Schmidt, Paige Gregory, and Beth (Brian) Howard.

Annemarie, Rea as her granddaughter’s, nieces and all her close friends called her, loved the beach.  She enjoyed taking vacations to anywhere and everywhere she could travel. Her most cherished past time was to watch her granddaughters play sports, play music, and be in plays. She was never absent from the cheering section. She loved her granddaughters more than life. Annemarie’s passion for creating meaningful connections extended to all aspects of her life. She cherished her family above all else and valued every moment spent together. As a devoted mother, she nurtured her children with boundless love that will forever shape their lives.

Annemarie was known for her kind heart and gentle spirit that touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She never minced her words but with that you knew exactly where you stood.  Her warm smile radiated joy and brought comfort to those around her. She was a pillar of strength and inspiration to so many.

Throughout her life, Annemarie made a profound impact on her community. She dedicated herself to serving others with unwavering compassion and generosity.  Her selflessness knew no bounds and she consistently went above and beyond to stand strong to help those in need.

Professionally, Annemarie found great success in her career as an ultra-sonographer for 50 years.  She dedicated countless hours to caring for others, utilizing both her extensive knowledge and heartfelt empathy. Many lives were touched by her healing hands, both physically and emotionally.

To celebrate Annemarie’s remarkable life and honor her memory, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Pavilion at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens on Saturday December 9th, 2023.  The Gathering will begin at 12:00pm and will conclude at 4:00pm.
