Shelby Annette Faye Bodwell, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, peacefully departed this world on February 5, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on June 30, 1946, in Southern, Maine, her journey through life was marked by love, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to her family and passions.
Annette's professional life was dedicated to healthcare, where she worked as a CPCA, touching countless lives with her kindness and expertise. Her true calling, however, was found beyond her career—in the nurturing of her family and the cultivation of her many interests.
She had an enchanting love for gardening, which she tended to with the same care and devotion she showed her beloved family. Annette found joy in the simple pleasures of life: shopping, cooking, and exploring the treasures hidden within thrift stores. Her love of books provided her with endless adventures and knowledge, which she generously shared with those around her. Most importantly, she cherished taking care of her loving pets, including her dog, Nala, and her cats, Sissy and Sassy, Annette loved to let everyone know that she shared her birthday with her grandson Robert Nathaniel and her Great Granddaughter Genesis.
Annette's greatest accomplishment was undoubtedly her family. She leaves behind her devoted children: sons Robert Bodwell and Scott Bodwell, and daughters Victoria Clements (husband Fullerton Clements), Jennifer Abbott (husband Jeffery Abbott), and Beverley Trudeau (husband Eric Trudeau). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Daniel, Jessie, Leslie, Robert, Dustin, Tabitha, Diera, Ben, and Tommy, as well as her precious great-grandchildren: Christopher, Alyssa, Isaiah, Adam, Elisia, Josiah, Jacob, Phineas, Levi, Christian, and Genesis.
Though preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Avis Whitten, sister Beverley Ham, brother Ricky Whitten, grandson Scott Everette, and the father of her five children Robert Bodwell. Annette's spirit and love will forever remain with those she leaves behind.
Annette Faye Bodwell's life was a testament to the beauty of selflessness and devotion. She touched the hearts of everyone she met and inspired others to live fully and love deeply.
A celebration of Annette's life will be announced by the family at a later date. Her family invites those who knew her to join them in remembering a remarkable woman whose life was a testament to love and resilience.
