Annette Cale Obituary
Annette Marie Cale, known as Annie, left this world unexpectedly on May 12, 2024, at the age of 69. Born on April 14, 1955, in Grand Haven, Michigan, Annie's vibrant spirit and boundless energy became a light in the lives of all who knew her. She passed away in Morley, Michigan, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.Annie's love for her family was the cornerstone of her existence. She is survived by her children, Steve (Alisha) Pickerd, Jason Pickerd, and Sara (John) Portell. Annie's significant other, John Archabold. Her step daughters, Shelia Hastings and Shannon Cale. Her siblings, Larry/Gumba (Debra) McDonald and Joe Kenyon, will miss her deeply, as will her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her beloved husband, Donald Cale, her father, James McDonald, her mother, Violet, and her siblings Danny (Pete), Ralph (Rusty), Robert (Bob), James Jr. (Skip), and Susan Mercer. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and her memories with them were treasured. Annie's zest for life was contagious. She loved to be on the go, and her energetic spirit made it impossible to keep her at home for long. Her family meant the world to her, and she poured her love into every moment spent with them. Annie's passion for mushroom hunting was well-known among her friends and family; it was an activity that brought her immense joy and satisfaction.
Annie found delight in being online with her tablet, connecting with friends and family. Her sense of humor and ability to make people laugh were among her most cherished attributes. With a joke always at the ready, she was the heartbeat of every gathering, infusing each moment with warmth and merriment. Annie had a huge heart, not just for her family but for everyone she encountered. To be thoughtful was second nature to her, and she often went out of her way to show kindness and consideration. Her capacity to love and her innate ability to bring a smile to anyone's face will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Annie's legacy is one of love, laughter, and thoughtfulness.
She will be remembered as a woman who lived her life fully, with a generous spirit that uplifted those around her. Her absence will be felt deeply, but the memories she created will continue to inspire and comfort her family and friends. As we say goodbye to Annette Marie Cale, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the indelible mark she left on the hearts of many. Her laughter will echo in the stories shared, her love will be reflected in the bonds she strengthened, and her spirit will live on in the joy she brought to our lives. Annie was truly one of a kind, and her memory will be cherished forever.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
