Inge Alheid passed away January 22, 2026 at the age of 75 in Holland, Michigan. Inge Larsen was born on July 5th 1950 in Denmark. She married George Alheid in 1981. Inge was a devoted mother and a loving aunt to family in Denmark, and in the US. She was a cheerful and steadfast friend. Her presence is missed by all. She is survived by her husband, George and her son Jacob.
Inge earned a business degree in Denmark as a trilingual correspondent. Her career in Denmark, and subsequently in the US, included various positions in university administration, including as Occupational Health and Safety Officer at the University of Virginia in the 1990s.
Inge had a lifelong love of flowers and horticulture. In retirement she crafted a beautiful garden which provided pleasure to all who saw it, and in the end to Inge, as she gazed out of her window in the final months of her life.
