E. UTICA –Mrs. Annette L. (Cappelli) Graziano entered her eternal home on Sunday, November 9, 2025, fulfilling the prayer she had so faithfully lifted to the Lord. She had been lovingly cared for by her devoted family.
Born in Utica, Annette was the beloved daughter of the late Pietro and Ersilia (Bernardi) Cappelli. Raised and educated in Utica, she graduated from Thomas R. Proctor High School where she participated in the school band, orchestra, and the acapella choir.
After graduation, Annette was employed by the Utica Mutual Insurance Company, now Utica National, for a period of ten years in various departments, lastly public relations. Following raising her family, she was then employed by the Masonic Home, now the Masonic Care Community, in the Dietary Department for twenty years. Annette regarded this as a great privilege, to serve the elderly who she enjoyed and loved.
On August 6, 1949, in St. Anthony of Padua Church, she was joined in Holy Matrimony with Philip A. Graziano, a 43 year union until his passing on November 28, 1992.
Annette was a proud parishioner of St. Anthony and St. Agnes Church, and a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the League of the Sacred Heart. At one time, she was also a member of the church choir.
Uppermost for Annette was her family, her church, and her many dear friends. She appreciated nature and always found beauty in her surroundings.
Annette is survived by her three beloved sons, Philip A. Graziano, Richard J. Graziano, and Anthony (Laurie) Graziano. She also leaves her memory to her daughters-in-law, Elizabeth (Buono) Graziano, Misae (Rodriguez) Graziano, and Marlene Mattison. Among those she cherished most is Pat Castelli, who was like an additional son to her, and his wife, Brenda, whom she loved deeply; adored grandchildren, Joseph, Grace and fiancé Nate Piscitelli, and Maria. She also bestowed love to her many nieces and nephews (especially Peter Gagliano and his wife Theresa); great-nieces, and great-nephews; many dear and devoted cousins, treasuring Pat and Rosemary Gumbs; and countless friends whom she held close to her heart, Rose Nasiff, Linda Garcia, Dorothy Rizzo, Pam Flemma, Teresa (Maneen) Shepard, the Kelly family- Rich and Heather and their children Madison, Braydon, and Cullen. She also held dear her longtime friendship with Charlie Manino.
Annette was predeceased by her sisters and their husbands, Theresa and Amery Tutino, Clara and Dominick Gagliano, and Mary and Frank Moschetto; infant brother, Antonio Cappelli; in-laws, Edmund and Rose (Graziano) Trevisani, and James and Marie (LaBella) Graziano; and beloved nephews, Frank Gagliano and his wife Linda, and Robert Trevisani.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 p.m., at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. In lieu of floral offerings, memorial contributions in Annette's name may be made to EWTN Global Catholic Network online at www.ewtn.com/donate; envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
