Annette Eve "Cookie" Murray of Abington passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025, at the age of 81. Annette was raised and educated in Dorchester and graduated from high school with the class of 1961. After graduation Annette entered the workforce and got her first job with the National Casket Company in Boston. She moved to Abington, where she stayed for more than 50 years, and raised her family. She continued her career working in bookkeeping at a law firm in Boston and at Chadwick’s before retiring in 2002.
Annette was a creative person and talented in all aspects of art. She decorated cakes, arranged floral pieces and loved to spend time tending her garden. Annette had many friends and each friend meant the world to her. Family was everything to her, and she had a story about each family member along with a million pictures in her home.
Annette was the daughter of the late Charles and Eleanor Bechler. She was the loving mother of Sheryl Goldstein, her husband Randy of Taunton, Edward "Tim" Murray, his wife Genine of Hanson, Nancy Emery, her husband Peter of Longmeadow and was predeceased by her son Timothy Edward Murray. Annette was the devoted Grammy of Heather, Alyssa, Tom, Kayla, Kelsey, Hailey, Jonathan, Danny, and Kevin and Great Grammy of Adrian, Bryson, Asher, Isabella, Kai, Chandler, Amelia, Cameron and Lilah. She was the sister of the late Charles J.Bechler Jr. and the late Sue Anne Sullivan and leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 4-7 PM in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, Whitman. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 29, 2025, in the funeral home at 11AM. A luncheon will follow. Burial will be private on Friday.
