Jenna L. Murray, 33, of New Philadelphia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
Born on April 6, 1992, in Dover, Jenna was the daughter of Mark and Denise (McGowan) Murray of New Philadelphia.
Though her time with us was far too short, she traded the weight of earthly limitations for a lightness we can only imagine. In our hearts, we still see her smiling over a giant piece of cake and a pepsi in her hand, or plotting her next shopping adventure. She was a living reminder that every life has a purpose measured by the depth of the heart rather than the abilities of the body. Jenna taught her family about her unique "superpower" of "resilience". She taught everyone else about the beauty of differences. Jenna dedicated over 12 years of her career to the Adult Developmental Service in New Philadelphia.
In addition to her devoted parents, Jenna is also survived by her brothers, Joe (Emily) Murray, Jake (Sammi) Murray, and Justin Murray (fiancée, Grace Marquis), all of New Philadelphia; her grandmother, Janet Murray of Dover; her aunt, Debbie "Bobbi" (Jim) Knisley of New Philadelphia; her uncles, Todd and Corey Murray, both of Dover; her beloved nieces and nephews, Eloise and Benjamin Murray, Cambri Holdbrook, Everli and Bodhi Murray; and her cousins, Wes (Laura) Aubihl and Evan (Heather) Aubihl.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elden Murray and Robert and Louise McGowan; and her uncle, Donald Murray. Also her beloved cat "Bogey"
Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 28th starting at 11:30 am in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jeff Coning officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital Strategic Priorities/Cancer center Atten, Tom Turner P.O. Box 931517 Cleveland, Ohio 44193 or to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society at 1432 Tall Timber Rd NE, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
