Annette Helene Windham

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Annette Helene Windham, who left us on September 25, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on December 19, 1938, in Dallas, Oregon, Annette spent her later years in Mayo, Florida, where she became a cherished member of her community.
Annette married the love of her life, James, on December 27, 1959, and they enjoyed a beautiful 64 years together. Her devotion to family and friends shone brightly in everything she did. For many years, Annette worked as an administrative word processor at an international CPA firm, where her skills were appreciated by all who had the pleasure to work with her.
A woman of many talents, Annette found joy in singing in the church choir at Mayo Baptist Church, filling the hearts of those around her with her beautiful voice. She was famous in Lafayette County for her pecan pie-no one could resist her delicious creations, and she was always willing to whip one up for anyone who asked. In her downtime, Annette loved to play the piano and lose herself in the pages of a good book.

Annette was preceded in death by her husband, James Windham, her son, Jeffrey Windham, her parents, and siblings.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held in Annette's memory, on Friday October 3, 2025 at 10:30AM with Pastor Rick James officiating at New Hope Baptist Cemetery of Mayo, FL where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
Annette will be dearly missed but will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her laughter, kindness, and fabulous pecan pie will always be cherished memories. Rest in peace, dear Annette.
