Darrell Lynn Callis

Darrell Lynn Callis, Age 64, passed away on Tuesday, December 9th, 2025. He was born April, 5th, 1961, to Vernon and May Callis. He married his wife Karen in 1985 who was the love of his life. He had a talent of solving problems at work and in home. Darrell lived his life to the fullest and made friends everywhere he went. His spirit embraced nature to the fullest whether it was wrestling a gator or trying to catch a reptile to show it off. He was a man of deep faith and to him Christ was king.

Darrell was preceded in death by father, Vernon; mother, May; brother, Bryan; and nephew, Jeremy.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Karen; a son, Joshua (BreeAnn); a daughter, KayDee (Clark); two grandchildren Carter and Aubrey; a sister, Darlene; a brother, Jeff (Susan); a niece, Alicia; a nephew, Bryan; two great-nieces Brookie and Morgan; as well as a host of in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward forever.

He will be dearly missed, but forever in our memories.
Funeral services for Darrell will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday December 14, 2025 at Alton Church of God. Interment will follow in Day Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
