July 26, 2025

ROGERSVILLE – Annie Sue Anderson, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Annie was born on December 24, 1936, in Rogersville, TN, to her parents, the late JW and Amy (Sandidge) Clifton. She was a member at Lewis Lane Baptist Church and was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. Annie loved her Lord and Savior and lived her life by this one verse: And this is his commandment, that we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. - 1 John 3:23 KJV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh M. Anderson; grandson, Brandon Langsford; and her daughter-in-law, Margaret Anderson.

Annie is survived by her children, Hugh Anderson, Jr. (Norma), Tim D. Anderson, Susan Anderson, and Jeffery Anderson; granddaughters, Destiny Keller (Terry), Marianne Anderson, Katherine Glass (Garritt), and Mikayla Evans; great-grandchildren, Landon Hunley, Rylan Evans, Makoa Keller, Margaret Glass, and Josiah Stroud; as well as many dear nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A very special thanks to a very special family friend, Bridgette Millsap for the love and care she gave Annie over the years and to Holston Rehabilitation Center.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Freedom Baptist Church, 1536 Independence Ave. Mt. Carmel, TN 37645. The funeral service will follow with Pastor Freddy Freeman and Pastor Troy Daily officiating. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Shriners Hospital, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
