Mrs. Annie Lou Crump Burnette, age 98 of Williams Bridge Road,
Toccoa, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
A daughter of the late Joseph (Joe) Crump and Maybell (Mae) Youngblood Crump, she was born on November 12, 1927, in
Toccoa, Georgia. Annie was a homemaker for most of her life. At age 55, she received her nursing assistant degree, which she utilized to aid many family members who were sick. She was the oldest member of New Bethel Baptist Church of Carnesville, where she was a member for over thirty years. She enjoyed helping her community and was named "The Franklin County Watch Dog" in the Toccoa Record. Annie was a proud member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Lavonia Chapter, and the Daughters of the American Revolution, Toccoa Chapter. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who always had a hot meal ready and witty advice to all whom she loved.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Hugh, Henry, Charlie, Dwayne, Lamar, Talmadge, and Marvin, four of whom served in the armed forces in WWII, and one in the Korean War; her sister Mary Sue; her husband Morris Burnette; and her sons Alan Morris Burnette and Johnny Lee Burnette, Sr.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Shonda Lynn Burnette and Johnny Lee Burnette Jr.; her great-granddaughters, Jennifer Locasto (Mark), Anna Mann (Cody), and Emilie Velting (Levi); her great-grandsons, Johnny Burnette III, Tyler Burnette (Jordan), and Travis Burnette (Cassidy); and her great-great grandchildren, Adam Guedes, Jackson Guedes, Dakota Mann, Hudson Morris Mann, Roan Velting, and Sylvi Velting.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 12 p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Dr. Tommy Childress officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Johnny Burnette, Jr., Johnny Burnette III, Tyler Burnette, Travis Burnette, Jackson Guedes, and Cody Mann.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow the service at Prospect Church Cemetery with The Reverend Joey Gilbert officiating.
