Ronald F. Burnette, age 86, died unexpectedly February 16, 2026 in the Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Florida. He was born May 26, 1939 in Pikeville, KY and had lived in the Albion area since 1963 prior to moving to Florida in 2001. Ron was a member of the St. Mary's Athletic Club, the St. Mary's Archer's Club, and was an avid reader and loved doing crossword puzzles. He served as a Kentucky State Policeman for 11 years and then as a Claims Adjuster for Bodily Injury with State Farm Insurance retiring from that position after 20 years. In his free time he enjoyed making wine, and spending time with family and friends, especially during the holiday seasons when everyone could gather together. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Esther, his children: Dorothy Stacey of Albion, Linda Berryman of FL, Julie (Larry) Scott of FL, David (Patty) Burnette of FL, his brother: C.B. Burnette of UT as well as several Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours and a Graveside Service will be held in Mt. Albion Cemetery in the Springtime at a time and date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or The ASPCA. 424 E. 92nd Street, NY, NY, 10128-6804.
