Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home & Crematory - ElginAnnie Cecilia (Merka) Colley, age 79, of Austin, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on February 22, 2026. Annie was born on May 20, 1946, in Taylor, Texas, to Ben and Mary Merka.
Annie was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, James Colley, and a loving mother to her sons, Ken Colley and his wife Charlene, and Glenn Colley and his wife Jennifer. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Makayla Colley, Jenna Colley, Conner Colley, Rocket Donaldson, Amber Billingsley, and Cameron Billingsley, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
She is survived by her loving sister, Mary Rose Stelly, and was preceded in death by her brother, Ed Merka.
Annie began her working career with Stokes Slide Service before following her passion for helping others by becoming a dental assistant, where she spent many years caring for patients with compassion and dedication.
She found great happiness in her arts and crafts, especially in creating beautiful flower arrangements that she lovingly shared with family and friends. Annie also enjoyed spending time fishing at her sister’s lake house, where many special memories were made.
A woman of deep faith, Annie was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she found strength, comfort, and community throughout her life.
Annie will be remembered for her loving heart, creative spirit, and the joy she found in caring for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
