Annie Hedgepeth Obituary
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in George Ford Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. Cody Ladner will officiate the service.
A native of Carriere, MS, she was a devout Christian, a long time member of Faith Chapel Church of God, recently attended Lee's Chapel #1 Baptist Church. Annie Merle was dedicated prayer warrior, wonderful mother, grandmother, and faithful wife of 61 years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Riley Pearson, mother, Annie Elizabeth Pearson; husband, Willard Hedgepeth; sisters, Willie Raye Bess and Milo Taylor.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Pam (Steve) Sable, Kevin (Christy) Hedgepeth and Kimberly (Shannon) Johnson; grandchildren, Sarah (Nathan), Anna Grace (Mason), Drew (Kristina), Dalton (Madyson), Devin (Hayle), Katie Anne, Sheena (Brandon), Scott (Katie), Keagan (Justin), Tyler (Danielle); great grandchildren, Anderson, Graham, Mabrie, Hudson, Emma Leigh, Riley, Laynie, Ella Claire, Luke, Daxton, Parker, Preslyn, Emme, Tucker, Cooper, Dayten, Hayes, Asher, Sidney; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

My sincerest sympathy to her beautiful family. I met Merle when I lived across the street on Peach Street in Picayune. I loved her dearly as a friend and neighbor and was always so touched by her beautiful and devoted children. She was a true lady ,devoted Wife and Mother. She will always hold a place in my heart.
