Annie was born August 10, 1947, in Orrville, AL to the late Clarzell and Roberta Hatcher and was the second child of thirteen children. As a young child Annie was affectionately named Lil Bay which stood for Little Baby. At an early age Annie travelled with her mother to various states to attend gospel events. Annie later moved to Selma, AL where she attended R.B. Hudson High School. After graduating high school Annie performed secretarial work at the church. At the strong recommendation of her mother, Annie enrolled in an LPN Program in Selma, AL. Before graduation Annie worked at Craig Air Force Base doing secretarial work. Later Annie worked as a nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital in Selma, AL. Annie also actively participated in the Civil Rights Movement marching from Selma to Montgomery, AL. In her twenties Annie relocated to Boston, MA to help her younger sister Roberta Pearl. In Boston she married Albert Jones and they built a life. Together they raised four children and recently celebrated 52 years of marriage. Annie graduated from Mass Bay, Boston, MA with an RN degree. Later Annie completed her BA degree at Emmanuel College, Boston, MA. Annie worked at every major hospital in Boston including Brigham and Women's Hospital, The Baptist and Mass General. Annie then went to work for BlueCross Blue Shield for 20 years. After leaving BCBS she went to work as a Nurse Case Manager for Tufts Health Care where she was promoted and managed over 25 Nurses. Annie also had many interests including sewing, baking, live jazz and reading a novel every week. Annie was also adventurous she enjoyed traveling with her husband, children and siblings going everywhere from New York to Canada and California to Paris, Mexico the Virgin Islands and everywhere in between. Many years ago, Annie use to bring her children to this same Kingdom Hall to study she continued to study for several years to become a member and now she has returned. Annie was also courageous and had a never give up spirit. Annie fought the good fight and continued to give beyond death as an organ donor. Annie's true calling was helping and caring for others, she freely gave of her time and her talent and will forever be remembered in our hearts as Love.

Annie Kate Hatcher Jones, 78 years old, transitioned on September 10, 2025, in Boston, Massachusetts. Annie was a woman of grace and strength and tremendous generosity and is survived by Albert Jones (husband), Jeannie Brady (daughter), Susan Oujli (daughter), Anthony Jones (son), Carl Jones (son), Dwayne Jones (grandson), Shamarhi Blount (granddaughter), Akiela Blount (granddaughter), Harold Brady III (grandson), Hailey Jones (great granddaughter), Juana Arocho (granddaughter), Leia Blount (great granddaughter), Lux Blount (great grandson), Xylon Jones(great grandson), Zen Blount (great granddaughter) and Zoe Blount (great granddaughter) And numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, friends and family.
