Abingdon, VA –Annie Hudnall Michal (11/30/48- 1/15/22) - our beautiful, stubborn, unstoppable force of nature- has transitioned to the next adventure.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, John, of Abingdon Va; her daughter Sophie (Matthew) Deel of Birchleaf, Va; her beloved grandchildren Daniel, Jakob, Benjamin, and Natalee, of Birchleaf, Va; her sister June Turnage of Kilmarnock, Va; her sister Carolyn Delano, whereabouts unknown; and her brother David Hudnall of Heathsville, Va.
She was preceded in death by her darling son Jason Hudnall; her beloved mother Lilly Dale Stewart and her father Eugene Hudnall.
She was ready to move on, to be with her momma, Lilly Dale, and her little son Jason whom she has missed so much all these years. She eulogized Jason with this passage from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince, and it seems fitting to share it here.
"In one of those stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night. And when your sorrow is comforted (time soothes all sorrows) you will be content that you have known me. You will always be my friend...I shall not leave you."
What an fiery, broken, loving human being we have known. We will miss her so. Laissez les bons temps rouler, Annie. Dance on.
