Annie R. Perteete

Annie R. Perteete of Rockford departed this earthly life September 26, 2022. She was born December 2, 1944 in Prescott, Arkansas the daughter of Wiley and Bertha Zachery. Annie lived in Rockford since 1952 coming from Prescott. She married James Perteete, April 17, 1965, in Rockford. Annie was employed as an Administrative Assistant by Swedish American Hospital, many years. She was a member of Banner of Truth International Family Church. Annie graduated from West High School and attended Southern Illinois University.
Annie leaves to cherish many loving memories; her husband, James; son, Kevin (Misuzu) Perteete; daughter, Audrey Long; one granddaughter, Michal Simmons; two grandsons, Gideon Wooden Simmons and Misavien Perteete; brother, Lynn (Joyce) Zachery; two sisters, Imogene Zachery and Erma (James) Ford; sister in law, Zere Zachery; a host of nieces, nephews; Perteete in laws; other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; brother John Zachery and son in law Michael Long.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2022 at Banner of Truth International Family Church 6732 Harrison Ave. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
