At the age of nine, her family moved to Flint, MI. She attended Flint Community Schools and later married Delbert Henry Reece, Sr. To this union, four children were born: Camilla (Reece) Kemp, Patricia (Reece) Folsom, Bethany (Reece) Walton, and Delbert Henry Reece, Jr. Mother Reece was a devoted mother, and very close to her children. She worked for Buick Motor Company, a division of General Motors Corporation for many years. After her time there, she worked as an Accounting Clerk and Proof Operator for Citizens Bank in Flint until she retired. Mother Reece was baptized at an early age. She joined First Trinity Baptist Church-Flint under the leadership of Rev. F. O. Hockenhull. Her Christian journey led her to unite with Mount Hermon Baptist Church, and she remained there faithfully as a member of the Mission and the Mother's Board until the Lord called her home.Mother Reece was a very loving and kind woman. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals and spending time with family and friends. Cooking for others always brought her loads of happiness. In retirement, she enjoyed playing bid whist, bowling, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and challenging her grandchildren to Wii games. She lovingly called it "giving them a whipping." Mother Annie Elizabeth Reece leaves to cherish her memory: three daughters, Camilla Kemp, Patricia Folsom, and Bethany Walton; son, Delbert Henry (LaToya) Reece, Jr.; 3 brothers, Raymond Joseph, Anthony Joseph, and Gary Joseph; 2 sisters, Marie (Warren) Smith, all of Flint and Ramona Joseph of Raleigh, North Carolina; 15 grandchildren, Stacey Sylmon, LaTasha Reece, Jameelah Folsom, Paris Folsom, Rodero Folsom, Marquisha Reece, Tarrell Reece, Isaac Walton, Jr., Mateaka Walton, Delbert Reece, III, Ty'kriona Reece, Taj'zarae Riley-Reece, Allontra Kelly, Ty'riona Reece, and DaKarii Reece; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other dear relatives, and countless friends. Mother Reece was preceded in death by her her husband, Delbert Reece, Sr.; parents, Raymond and Sarah Joseph.
