Annie Sharpton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by William H. Kresge Funeral Home, Inc. on Dec. 16, 2025.
A devoted follower of Christ, and faithful servant of the Lord; our beloved Annie Mildred Sharpton entered the presence of the Lord on December 8th, 2025.
Born April 28th, 1930, to Clayton Walker (deceased) and Lonnie McIntrye (deceased) in Faison County North Carolina. Now reunited with family in Heaven, she was preceded in death by her brother, Andrew "Herman" Eakins, and sisters, Carrie Mae King, Dorothy Bea Carr, Mamie Knox, Pernell McIntyre, Bertha Rhodes, Lonnie McIntyre, and Eloise McIntyre. Annie Sharpton was the proud aunt of numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Pastor Sharpton also lovingly referenced as "Mom Sharpton" was known as the spiritual mother of numerous spiritual children over the years, Mother Bracy, Mother McQuay, Elder Smith, and countless others in the kingdom of Christ Jesus.
She was a profound teacher of the word of God and her life proved that she lived what she taught. One of her favorite scriptures was Psalms 34. Pastor Sharpton also had the wonderful gift of song writing. When she spent time in the presence of the Lord, He would give her wonderful words and melodies filled with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. She was passionate and just loved singing and making melody in her heart to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Songs such as: I'm Going Up, and When My Hair Turns to Silver are among the dozens of refrains, she wrote.
Throughout Mom Sharpton's entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. We can boldly attest through the Word of God from the life she lived, "Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:23 She is now at peace in the arms of her Savior, and it is in His light, we find our comfort.
A viewing will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the William H. Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Funeral services will be held the following day on December 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Kunkletown.
