AnnMarie Mellem, 57, of Dilworth, MN, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.
AnnMarie was born August 16, 1967, at St. Ansgar Hospital in Moorhead, MN, to Dorothy Jane Skrei. John Mellem came into the family when he married Dorothy and adopted AnnMarie. The family made their home in Dilworth until AnnMarie graduated from Dilworth High School in 1985. After she graduated, she moved to be with her sister in Jacksonville, FL for three years, being a nanny for her nephews that she loved so much. She moved back to Minnesota to start bartending for her mom and dad at the Georgetown Bar. Ann was most proud of welcoming her only son, Chase, in 1994. She moved around with various jobs until she settled down in Abercrombie, ND to work for her mom at the Christine Bar in ND. She moved back to Dilworth and settled into her home and worked for Casey’s for 12 years, then Runnings in Moorhead where she was currently working. Ann was loved by many people, with her quick wit and humor. She loved her family and her friends so much. She will be forever missed.
Ann is survived by her son, Chase Michael Thomas Carner, of Phoenix, AZ; her siblings, Scott (Kim) Coryell and Dawn (Greg) Iverson; her nieces and nephews, Shawn Coryell, Adam Lindstrom, Matthew Garman, Jake Coryell and Jessi Coryell; great-nieces and nephews, Kamryn Lindstrom, Miles Garman, Emma Lindstrom, Louis Coryell, Saylor Lindstrom and Anders Coryell; aunt, Carol Braaten; and cousin, Lorinda Braaten. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and parents; her sister, Kathy Coryell and Chase’s father, Todd Carner.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., with a prayer service beginning at 6:00 P.M., at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN. Burial will be at Concordia Cemetery, rural Glyndon, MN.
